Mike & Thom @ RJ's 10/03/09

Had fun last night @ RJ's-a tenacious crowd braved the chilly night air to hear us perform on the patio behind the Bob-be-que shack. We were well rec'd by all, & the management seemed pleased & hoped to have us back in the spring when the weather warms up again. Here's there link:

Westport Coffeehouse 9/19/09

I did a solo gig @ Westport Coffeehouse Sat., 9/19/09. Murphy's sitting in w/ me on "Hot Little Planet". Tammy & Murph just finished watching the Improv show downstairs. I saw the show last month, it's always a lot of fun, & never the same show twice. Here's their link:

As a somewhat skilled musician, I'm able to size the performance to suit your need. I've played in a in variety of settings as solo performer, duo, trio, etc. My favorite band set-up, though, is as a 7 piece band w/ 3 saxes & 4 pc. rhythm section. We have performed weddings as well as clubs in the metro KC area, & are always well received. The band performs music in a Jazz/Blues/R & B vein, as well as original compositions of mine. I'm proud to say that I have the support of some of the finest musicians in the area (or any other area).

My life in 100 words or less

I've been a guitarist since I was 12 yrs old, inspired by the Beatles, did poorly @ the Music Conservatory, obsessed w/ Frank Zappa through most of the 70's, aspired to be Classical composer like Stravinsky, brought back to my senses by Elvis Costello, motivated by Motown in the early 80's, established the Crawl Space Studios, founded "The Moootown Sound" in the mid-80's, married the love of my life, re-located my studio to more spacious setting, became a Dad, began compiling my recorded works into cd's, performed gigs in KC area; established this Blogspot. There, that's it-MS
